 The total number of coronavirus cases in India has risen to 62,351 and 2,101 people have died from the disease, according to livestudy24u data. With the continual rise in Covid -positive cases, India has jumped spots to become the 14th most affected country of the world by number of cases.

 Rising cases in Maharashtra and Gujarat continue to be a cause for concern in the country. Meanwhile, among 10 most affected Indian states, Punjab and Tamil Nadu have been doubling their count of cases at the fastest face.

Globally, 40,18,532 people have been infected, and the total number of deaths from the disease stands at 2,78,720.
